Agust D alos known as Min Yoongi from the global sensation Kpop group BTS recently dropped a mixtape alongside a music video for his Daechwita, I down usually get amazed by music videos now a days but when I watched this I was left in awe from start to finish.
One thing I love about Bts is that they embrace their Korean culture and use their platform to often make references to it and educate others on the amazing history it holds. Daechwita means "great blowing and hitting" and is a genre of Korean traditional music created by wind and percussion instruments and is usually performed while marching, it is also only played when a king or high officials visit.

The music video was set in15th century South Korea and was full of stunning buildings like the one pictured above. In the video you can see lots of the references to this time period such as the old markets where two members of the band Jeon Jungkook and Kim Seokjin made a cameo as the lower class. Min Yoongi is dressed in a hambok which is traditional Korean garment and symbolises social position, which I think is a very key aspect of this video as Yoongi is shown as two different people one is represented a leader where as another is someone who rebels and is later shown bending down in front of leader Yoongi before he "nearly" gets beheaded.
What I loved so much about this video is that it held a story and kept me hooked, the set was stunning and made me want to find out more in this time period. I highly recommend watching this video as its bringing something new to the music scene.
