Hey it's me again, following a seminar this week I was inspired to make a blog post about being creative. The task for this lesson was to bring 5 images and cut them up and create them into collages in the session, this excited me SO MUCH.

What I didn't expect to gain from this session was a forgotten love about how much I loved to get creative. This lingered with me for the rest of the day as I sat and thought about how I had neglected being a creative individual since I fished studying art at college. I'm one of those people where I have to constantly surround myself with a creative environment so I can even function! It's how my brain has always worked ever since being at primary I succeeded in crafts but maybe neglected my studies in maths. These thoughts stayed with me and pushed me to actually pick up a paintbrush and be free and have fun! I gained a lot from this as it made me appreciate how fortunate I am to be creative and just have the opportunity to create art whenever I want.

When I'm in the mindset where I want to create but don't know where to start I like to look back at all my old sketchbooks because for me sometimes turning to myself for inspiration can be the best help, and puts me in the right perspective to stimulate ideas.

If I could offer any advice it would be to BE CREATIVE and utilise the resources you have. Make a scrap book, journal, write down your thoughts and feelings and have fun.
