We recently got set the task to create a presentation about our insights from our previous brief and taking this to the next step and actually creating our own fragrance. I have found that I have enjoyed all the briefs so far on the fragrance market as I have allowed myself to be as creative as possible with them.

I started the presentation by looking at my previous insights and figuring out how I would develop them. I found this part probably the hardest as I struggled to skim down some of my insights as I didn't want to overload my audience with too much information, I ended up just placing in some quotes from an email from a fragrance company and a survey statistics. From this stage I moved onto some more primary research to find out what my audience would want from a fragrance. This analysis gave me enough certainty to piece together a final idea statement. Then the real fun began, I made a customer profile for my brand, this was so much fun as it allowed me piece together my vision and create these ideal consumers for my brand. For my logo making stage I turned to my trusty sketchbook and let me creative juices run free, I had already came up with a name so I spent more time having fun on creating a logo that would match the style of my brand. I spent time stitching the name immerse onto different fabrics to create a really nice effect and it matches the idea of sustainability of my brand as I'm utilising scraps of fabric. I chose the name immerse for my brand because when creating it I felt like I wanted to take the consumer on a journey with the fragrance and make them feel apart of the brand. Finally I created a series of mockups from bus stop posters to instagram posts.

I found it really fun to experience the process of creating a brand and I hope that in the near future I will apply these skills to real life.
