CURRENT INSPO NADIA LEE

My current inspiration at the moment is art photographer, film maker and self portrait artist Nadia lee. She discovered her love for photography after studying fashion photography at the London collage of fashion. Her inspiring work is heavily inspired by British and American film from the 1950s, 1960s and 70s and I love every piece she creates. Her work is said to "draw upon the duality of the female form and locks upon the twisted paradise that lurks within her mind, exploring the paradoxical standoff between strength and fragility within womankind". Her thought provoking work appears in forms such as music videos to fashion shoots. To list just a few of her clients such as:

Her work doesn't go unnoticed though as she has won numerous awards and has plenty of press coverage safe to say she's killing it. The reason why I am obsessed with her is because she creating art that surprises me every time, like we all have an artist or creator we are inspired by but we don't always enjoy the work they create or put out but I find with Nadia I throughly enjoy every single piece and take great inspiration from her work. I think as a creative its hard to continually grow especially in this day and age when theirs so much being discovered but she's always constantly creating and putting out these ideas that haven't been done before and does them to such high standard. that's what is inspiring to me.

One of my favourites is the self portrait series she created in 2018. it featured 15 different looks or characters and had them placed in m ore less the same seated position with the same red curtain background. When I first saw this I was in awe at how she managed too capture so many different personalities and make you feel like they are almost coming to life through the one single photograph. its so creative and perfectly done that it makes you question why the hell it hasn't been done before. Her work truly inspires me as a young creative individual and makes me want to put out the best I can.
