hmmmm influencers

OKay so influencers. They will always be there whether you love them or not. Why do people follow these almost generic people? I was having a conversation with a friend about how its weird that we live in age where were literally making anyone famous now a days, and the more I think about it im like really concerned about what my children will grow up with, I dont want them to have this view that you have to look a certain way to become famous and live a lavish lifestyle.

Looking at the cgi model lil miquela she's literally not even real yet she's featured in campaigns with the likes of Bella Hadid and has racked up 2.3 million followers. Is that not weird? what is she contributing to the society? Her instagram is full of her with the expensive designer clothes, perfect makeup and the coolest friends but she's not real...... its making people want to live this life of a person thats not even alive and breathing. I feel like this also reflects ordinary influencers they only post this perfect life on instagram because thats all they want you to see, it. makes you question what am I doing so wrong? people are obsessing over a face or an aesthetic that is almost empty? but even im Quilty of doing this, I can't lie and say that I haven't looked at instagram accounts and just imagined what this lifestyle is like and how I would love to live their life but what creative content am I getting from them? nothing. So I am going to strive to look more into getting inspiration from people through their visual output or their creativity.
