On the 18th of July the iconic figurine designed by kaws appeared at Mount, Fuji Japan. But what is so unusual about this project is that the inflatable is 40 meters long. This is probably my favourite installation I have ever seen, too include such an incredible landmark alongside this stunning art piece is mind blowing and I can only imagine how surreal it must of been in person.

To Make the whole experience even more surreal the event included the ability to camp next to the inflatable with 2,000 tents set up at the Fumotoppara camping ground. The installation was put uo to show off the relaxing beauty of Japan and its stunning landmark. The piece was designed by kaws brand founder Brian Donnelly and is a part of his project called KAWS HOLIDAY which includes the 40 meter inflatables placed around the world such as; Seoul, Taipei and Hong Kong. The event included exclusive merchandise such as vinyl figures, miniature dolls, ceramic plates, t shirts and even cushions.

Why I love about this is how they placed this gigantic inflatable in a huge city and yet it fits in perfectly. The towering skyscrapers loom over this figure in these huge cities and make the installation look miniature, especially with its placed next to ginormous Mount Fuji. But yet I find the figure so peaceful to look at and find it incredibly enchanting. When it is placed in these chaotic cities the figure appears tranquil and is situated in a way where It makes you forget about the business surrounding it.
