Its been a few weeks now since the big uk lockdown rules were placed and im finding that as the weeks go on I am finding it a bit more easier to cope? I think its because I am getting into the routine of things now, the days of sitting in restaurants and going to clubs are so far into the distance that they don't really appeal to me anymore. I've found that I have gotten close to my true form once again and I understand myself a lot more. I have also been keeping myself busy by getting back into the world of art again. I wanted to share some of the activities I have been occupying myself with recently.
Painting wine bottles
I've been itching to pick up a paint brush for a while now but haven't had the time to dedicate a day to creating some art so what better time to create then during lockdown. I keep a folder on my Instagram saved of people who have created things that I would like the chance to try. I found a post I had saved a few weeks back from Maya steppers instagram. She shared the idea of recycling old wine bottles and using them as a canvas to paint on.

I knew instantly I wanted to try this as I think the idea is incredibly creative and saves money on buying canvases. So I gathered up some empty bottles and spent a day to myself letting my creative side run free.
I found this activity really fun and allowed me to be creative again. As well helping recycle these bottles double up as good decorations for your room or house, I have inserted a picture above of where i have placed my bottles.
Exercising

I'm never usually the type to excerise for fun or as an everyday routine but ive took lockdown as a time for me to look after myself better as I have neglected my health at university. Ive been working out either every day or every other day and its actually been making me feel really good in myself. Theres something really nice about taking 10 minutes in the morning to go outside and work out and get the blood pumping and help motivate me to start my day.
More creations

After painting the wine bottles I realised how much I truly enjoy being creative and that I shouldn't give up my skills, so I have been finding chances to be creative where ever I can. Pictured about you can see I painted on a plant pot this is after my mom had took it down because she said she didn't like any more so I decided to paint some flowers on it. After she had saw what I had done she fell back in love with the pot and put it back up on the wall.

I have always had a love for life drawing and did `lot of it during my art diploma in college, I love how free you can be on the page and explore techniques such as shading and tonal practice. I think with life drawing theirs no perfect final sketch as their isn't one particular body type that is deemed the ideal type so to me all of the bodies I draw are beautiful.
Walking
Im Quilty in saying I don't Wallace-Wells as often as I shoaled but I have been using my daily walk to venture out and explore some peaceful spots in my area. My favourite time to go is around 8/9 pm when the sun is setting and you get a beautiful backdrop for your walks. I have inserted some pictures I have took on these walks above.
I hope you've enjoyed reading about what I have been up to during these times but remember that you shouldn't feel inclined to be productive during these times just doing simple tasks is amazing.
stay safe
